From my perspective, a doula holds the wisdom pole of connection and wholeness for the mother. In the moments when she needs support, a doula protects the sacred space around the mother and the birth.
I serve anyone in the birth spectrum, including those who have not gotten pregnant but wish to, that have experienced miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth or other pregnancy loss. I believe that it is important for women to receive the care and education to understand that the body still needs tending and that our ancestors left us ways to move through our grief, to nourish ourselves, to witness miracles and to heal whatever we face.
